Aleksander Foundation Launches €10,000 Graduate Excellence Scholarship

About

The Aleksander Foundation is opening applications for its newest Graduate Excellence Scholarship – a €10,000 award for outstanding graduates from Bulgarian universities ready to continue on their academic journey in the 2026/2027 academic year.

Eligibility

The scholarship is aimed at recent graduates of Bulgarian universities (within the past two years) who plan to pursue a Master’s degree at a European university (including the UK). Candidates are expected to cover the following criteria:

Undergraduate Degree: BSc/BA from a Bulgarian university (obtained within the past 2 years)

Academic Excellence: Min GPA equivalent of 3.6/4.0 or 5.50/6.00

Postgraduate Focus: MSc/MA programme in Economics, Law, or Business at a European university (incl. UK)

Commitment to Attendance:

  1. 1. Official letter of acceptance,

  2. 2. Proof of awarded scholarships and/or sufficient financial resources

Additional Merit: Evidence of exceptional achievements, extracurricular activities, or relevant professional experience

Reference Contact: Name, email, and phone number of an academic / professional referee

Application process

The application process includes submitting the following documents via email to masters@aleksanderfoundation.org:

One-page CV

Cover letter (motivation for the scholarship)

Letter of acceptance

Evidence of commitment to attendance

Reference contact

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview in April, and the final selection will be announced in May.

Application deadline

Submit all the required documents before March 31st, 2026, 23:59 GMT+2.
